She was born 2 weeks earlier....in our car.

It was a normal sleepless night as I can still remember. I was experiencing bearable contractions every 15-20 mins at around 2am. When my hubby was up for his work, I told him not to go. I had a feeling that she is coming out soon. However after 8am, there wasn't any contractions and I was convinced that it's going to be a false alarm. Not until 2pm I was woken by same level of contractions again. I rang up the hospital and they advised me to come when it hits every 5mins. I was very silly to say ok (I have forgotten my new place takes me 30mins journey to the hospital). At 4:30pm, I suddenly felt the frequent 5mins contractions and very painful until I had to be carried to the car. Along the journey, I was screaming and kicking at the front seat, praying hard that God will protect the baby. At the moment when we arrived the Emergency, I couldn't walk at all and I felt the urge to push. My hubby was nervous and quickily asked help from Emergency. As I could remember the moment I saw the nurses arrived, the baby's head was already out...in our car. The nurse helped me to go through the pushing part and my lovely daughter was born safely in our car. I felt such a relief and undescrible joy to see her....:)

Jayden - The Pizza Maker (or Eater?)

I had some fun making my first pizza with my boy the other day. Being the first time for both of us, Jayden was so excited and wanted to help in every step. This is the vegetarian pizza that we made where we put some tomatoes, mushroom, onions and of course lots of parmesan cheese on top of pita bread. He is the cheese lover! Yummy and crunchy. Such a simple dish but really made our day!

New Business Cards and Product Cards

Finally got my cards printed! This is designed by talented IcingPrints, love her works! I wish the size could be a bit bigger though. :)

Improved Hairclips

To make the hairpins more securely attached and invinsible from glue, I have taken extra effort to attach them with matching color of felt fabric. All hairpins (both bobby pins & snap on pins) are now made with this method. I have been using this method for all my brooches and received quite a good feedback. Everyone feel free to give opinion!

These will be in Switzerland next week

This sweet collection of Japanese kokeshi doll brooches will be arriving at Switzerland next week. Lovely shop owner of Mademoisel le De Paris is my first overseas retailer who loves Japanese collection and many more. See second photo for one of her items in store.

Mother's Day Treat

Hope it's not too late to share about this photo taken on the night before Mother's Day. This yummy home-baked chicken is my husband's best recipe ever - Thai Basil Oven Baked Chicken. Very simple and homely, he cleaned and marinated the whole chicken with Masterfood Thai Basil marinate available from Coles or Safeway, for about few hours. And then used the baking tube specialised for chicken (I wish I know what it is called) to make the chicken "stand up" in the middle. Spread the remaining marinate, and to make it more crispy, you may brush some virgin oil onto the chicken. Baked for about 1/2 hour, and then turned to the other side of chicken for another 1/2 hour. I love it especially the chicken breast which is not dry but juicy and delicious!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!! To all the mothers (including myself..:p)!! Would love to hear how will you celebrate this special moment tomorrow. We currently have no special plan as yet but I remember last year my hubby was very kind enough to do ALL the housework and looking after my little boy, as well as cooking. We had a nice lunch at home and wonderful eat out dinner. The year before was the first Mother's Day for me and my boy was only about 2 weeks old, we had a small celebration with my mom-in-law who was kind enough to fly from overseas to look after me after giving birth. It was a great moment to be remembered forever.

My little brooch featuring kawaii mommy with her baby is a good theme for Mother's Day, I think. It is featured in Missy Mao Mao's blog in her Mother's Day Collection. Great bags created by her, so tempted!!!!

It is going to be a girl!!

Yes! Excited! Excited! Excited! It is going to be a girl. This is my first time breaking the news of my second pregnancy. I have waited the day of my baby ultrasound scanning and yes everything went fine and as I have expected, she was in a bad position for the doctor to find out the gender. However I have a confirmation from her that it would be 99% girl. hehe...I am not picky, but it will be lots of fun to have a daughter to dress her up....:p. When doctor was doing the scanning, the baby showed me her thumbs up on one hand and victory sign with two fingers up on the other hand. Seems like telling me: Yes! Mommy, I am doing well here.....:)

Lots of shopping to do soon......:)

6th in the 6th.....I've Been Tagged

I was tagged by ButtonsByLouLou a while ago to put on the photo of my computer, in the 6th folder. And the 6th photo in it must be displayed and written about. I have to confess that I am not able to do so as my hubby have moved all my photos to archive drive. But I have some on my MSN space. So I have picked this one. This photo is taken 2 years ago in the nice cottage that we stayed while we spent our first family trip at Daylesford. I am proud to say that those odd shape eggs, nearly burnt tomatoes, mashed pumpkin (which I prepared from home) are cooked by me... yeah!! My hubby was very happy about that. :)

I now tag Giggleberry, LittleChrissy, Michvanetta, Finki, Incalesco and Summers Studio... Please share your photos and then tag 6 more people to do the same.

Time for My Blog

I have been "off tracking" my blog since my son was sick few weeks ago. I knew that I have so much to do with it but I am just finding excuses to avoid sitting too long in front of my laptop. Furthermore, I am really not good in using blog. But today while my little one is having his nap, while my hubby is playing his computer game, I turned on the song that I linked on the blog - You were there by Southern Sons, put on my earpiece, all of sudden all these beautiful memories flashing over and over on my mind. I feel blessed that I have a chance to take care of my sicked son, I feel blessed that I have a chance to cook for my family despite my poor cooking skill, I feel blessed that I am able to spend few hours sometimes just to understand how blog works etc. Too much blessings that I have received from people surrounded, whom God has placed. Even the people I met on Etsy and DUST team via cyber space, how cool is it?! The Bushfire Appeal shop on Etsy, raising money for the victims. I haven't met all of the talented artists who have donated their items, but I can feel their hearts of one spirit...the kind spirit of helping those victims. I am really moved... Part of song sang:

"But you were there, ......And I was alone.
I opened my eyes and you were there.
Can I take your smile home with me, or the magic in your hair?
The rain has stopped, the storm has passed Look at all the colors now the sun's here at last.
I suppose that you'll be leaving but I want you to know
Part of you stays with me even after you go. "

Could I take this moment to thank you for all those have made a difference in my life. Whether or not I know your name, even just a second you have stopped by my blog, or a person who walked pass me and gave me a smile...I know that I am not alone...and you can make a difference to other people's life, with love you can....

Oh What A Week!

Besides busy with making buttons and houseworks, the past week has been an exhausted week for me. My nearly 2 years old boy was diagnosed with Urinary Tract Infection. This is his second time infection since he was 3 months old. I was seriously worried and tired kept waking up in the midnights to check his body temperature. Apparently there is unknown cause of this infection which really annoyed me. Thank God the fever gone away after 3 days antibiotics.

On the other hand, I have been approached by few retailers who are interested in my items. My first stockist is Cicero Design. For those who are living in NSW are now welcomed to see my items selling at Cicero Design at 71 Percy Street, Wellington. They also have their website at http://cicerodesign.com.au/ if you want more information.

I just couldn't believe that I found the original designer on etsy! She has few other very cute designs besides this, see her wonderful designs on KeriDesigns. I have made them to hair clips and brooches. And this brooch was recently featured in Treasury List. Love it! Love it!

I am back!

After a joyful holiday, I finally came back to my desk and started my new project. I have to admit that I have been lazy while enjoying my holiday with my hubby and son. We had a road trip to Ballarat, a quiet and beautiful town, where my little one enjoyed so much! Well, so as us! We had a peaceful rest in Botanical Garden enjoying the beauty of the summer and flowers. Jayden so loved the vintage train and kept saying "Tutu" while riding on it. I have to mention about Ballarat Wildlife Park! Hundreds of friendly kangaroos freely hopping here and there! Jayden love to feed them with his tiny hands. Well, some are quite picky on food, they only love the dried corn but nothing else! First time seeing emu, he called them duck, big duck! I couldn't hold myself from laughing. Forget to mention about the place we stayed. Novotel Forest Resort located at Creswick. Nice and peaceful and surrounded by golf field and greens.

Can't wait for next holiday!!
