New Clippies for Little Princess

My hubby had a long weekend break and I have some times for myself yesterday to create these cute clippies. They are alligator clips covered by polka dots ribbon and decorated by unique star shaped fabric covered button. I tried them on my 5 months old daughter (very challenging while holding her at one hand and try to snap a good shot on the other :p). Anyway..I quite like them...what do you think?? They are on sale on my etsy store now.

Holy Crab!

I have my cousin and his wife visiting us during Christmas and his wife cooked us this yummy butter crab (first photo). The recipe can be found at one of famous Malaysia recipe websites http://kuali.com. She has tried most of the recipes there and gives a thumbs up recommendation. The first photo shows the art of her cooking - authentic Malaysian Butter Crab and the second photo is my "try and error first time ever" Singapore Chili Crab. I give a score 7 out of 10, still have many parts to improved but I am quite proud of it. :D. Below are both recipes:Butter Crab
refer to http://kuali.com/recipes/viewrecipe.asp?r=3180.
refer to http://kuali.com/recipes/viewrecipe.asp?r=3180.
Note: I use only 1kg of the crab, so the ingredient should be cut down propositionately.
Homemade Singapore Chili Crab
Ingredients:
1kg crabs (I use sand crabs here, mud crab is the best but it's very expensive and too risky for first time try :p)
3-5 gloves of garlic
2 eggs - beaten
1-2 tbsp tomato sauce
1-2 tbsp tomato sauce
1-2 tbsp chili sauce
1-2 tbsp oyster sauce
1/3 cup water
1 tsp sugar (for those prefer sweet than spicy, you may add more sugar)
1/2 tbsp corn starch
2-3 fresh chopped chili
Methods:
1. Stir fry garlic and fresh chili until the fragance comes out.
2. Add on crabs and continue stir fry until the crabs are just cooked. Put aside the crabs.
3. Turn fire to low and add on all sauces, stir fry until it just boiled.
4. Add onto water and keep stiring. When it is boiled add on sugar and corn starch.
5. Slowly stir in beaten eggs to create stickiness. Add on the crabs and stir them evenly so that all are covered by the sauce. Serve immediately.
Hope you have time to try on these and let me know what you think!!

She was born 2 weeks earlier....in our car.

It was a normal sleepless night as I can still remember. I was experiencing bearable contractions every 15-20 mins at around 2am. When my hubby was up for his work, I told him not to go. I had a feeling that she is coming out soon. However after 8am, there wasn't any contractions and I was convinced that it's going to be a false alarm. Not until 2pm I was woken by same level of contractions again. I rang up the hospital and they advised me to come when it hits every 5mins. I was very silly to say ok (I have forgotten my new place takes me 30mins journey to the hospital). At 4:30pm, I suddenly felt the frequent 5mins contractions and very painful until I had to be carried to the car. Along the journey, I was screaming and kicking at the front seat, praying hard that God will protect the baby. At the moment when we arrived the Emergency, I couldn't walk at all and I felt the urge to push. My hubby was nervous and quickily asked help from Emergency. As I could remember the moment I saw the nurses arrived, the baby's head was already out...in our car. The nurse helped me to go through the pushing part and my lovely daughter was born safely in our car. I felt such a relief and undescrible joy to see her....:)

Jayden - The Pizza Maker (or Eater?)

I had some fun making my first pizza with my boy the other day. Being the first time for both of us, Jayden was so excited and wanted to help in every step. This is the vegetarian pizza that we made where we put some tomatoes, mushroom, onions and of course lots of parmesan cheese on top of pita bread. He is the cheese lover! Yummy and crunchy. Such a simple dish but really made our day!

3 more weeks to go! Baby!
3 more weeks to go for my second baby to be arrived. Doctor said it is going to be a girl and I am really excited about it. Recently I have been sleepless due to frequent toilet breaks and big tummy...guess it is a good training for nights to come. :) Wish me luck!
